A Fashion Week Afternoon with Bryanboy, the Last Great Influencer

It’s not just him. “A lot of influencers are freaking out because engagement is so low. The algorithm changes, and then people are moving onto TikTok.” I asked him how he’s been able to adapt continually—his career now seems longer than the tenure of the average designer at a luxury house. “I think you just need to adapt with the times to what you know, to where and how you connect with your audience.”

Now, “I don’t even have time to paint my nails,” and one imagines that his Instagram audience might feel the same way. He’s exploring video, which he thinks “could be something fun to do,” though not TikTok, because “it’s for young people.” (Ok, boomers???)

We went outside to get a car to the Marc Jacobs show. Veronika Heilbrunner, editor-influencer-publisher and wife to Justin O’Shea, joined us. Bryanboy lit a cigarette. “I don’t know,” he said, sounding

Ethan Hawke Knows It’s a Good Day for a Cool Hat

Whipped cream, chopped-up cilantro, a, uh… ROOF! Yes, folks, we’re talking about toppings. you are just one step away from perfection and so often the difference between very good and that perfection is just throwing something on top. Chefs know this, building builders know this, and, darn-tootin’, Ethan Hawke gets this. Hawke knew he’d already put something nice together: navy suit and a blue-checkered polo, but “nice” is not good enough. Did it give him that wowee-kablowey feeling (the one you get when you walk into a building with a roof!)? Probably not. But instead of starting over, he needed just one more element. Hawke understood it was a good day for a cool hat.

A Step-by-Step Guide to Taking Care of Yourself—and Your Scalp

Because your scalp deserves some TLC, too

From #SelfCareSunday rituals that help chase away the Sunday scaries to going on daily runs, self-care looks a little different to everyone. How we interpret self-care and take care of ourselves in the privacy of our bathroom varies from person to person, too. It can be as elaborate as a 10-step skincare routine or as simple as taking a shower.

When it comes to bathroom rituals, we spend more time cultivating a skincare regimen than we do taking care of our scalp. In fact, research shows that women have up to six skincare products on their bathroom shelves, but a majority of those don’t pay attention to their scalp health. A healthy scalp is just as important as healthy skin and neglecting it can lead to issues like dryness, flaking, itchiness and excess

Anna Wintour Revealed Her 5 Favorite Brands of Fashion Month

As you know, fashion month just concluded this week after another whirlwind tour of New York, London, Milan, and Paris. (And don’t forget Copenhagen!) While we’ve done our fair share of trend coverage—see links above—I’m always curious to hear other people’s perspectives. Well, specifically Anna Wintour’s. In a new video for Vogue‘s “Go Ask Anna” series, the magazine’s editor in chief shed light on her top brands of the season.

Wintour named five of her favorite shows—one from each city, plus Tom Ford who broke from the mold and presented in Los Angeles. “First and foremost, I want to applaud Tom Ford for showing in Los Angeles because I totally reject the idea that everyone always has to do the same thing and show in the same way,” Wintour says in the video. “We’re in an industry that’s meant to be about change, so

10 Nourishing Hair Masks For Thicker Hair

Box braids are one of my favorite protective hairstyles. They’re low-maintenance, give me tremendous length, and offer a much-needed break from using heat tools on my delicate natural hair. I’d say these stylish plaits are an all-around win, except that after a couple months of carefree living, my strands are left in serious need of help in the thickness department. That’s where hair masks come in to save the day.

These handy pots of nutrient-dense goodness are a catchall for any hair problem you might be experiencing that’s causing your tresses to appear more thin than you’d like. My post-braid thinness is mainly perpetuated by the overuse of clarifying shampoo, which I have to use for a few days to get my hair clear of product and scalp debris. Not to mention the weeks of routine hair shedding that’s finally free to fall, a shedding process I can only imagine
